ARTISANS / CRAFTERS — FOOD VENDORS
ARTISANS / CRAFTERS
Artisans, crafters, or non-profit organizations, play a very important role in our festival. Our vendors help to promote the creative spirit in our community and make our festival a popular destination each year. We welcome and encourage artisans, retailers, and food vendors, both local and from across Canada. The festival provides an excellent opportunity to sell their merchandise and to gain exposure, and at the same time, it allows festival visitors the opportunity to support them.
Latin America offers a unique gastronomic wealth. Each country offers a different culinary option complemented by a diverse production of exotic fruits and vegetables. This gastronomic variety is a result of the mix of the food tradition of the native people and the European influences of Spain, Portugal, France, and Great Britain. With more than 25 food vendors every year, Mississauga Latin Festival offers visitors the best traditional Latin American dishes, maize-based dishes such as arepas, pupusas or tamales and a variety of salsas and other condiments, guacamole, pico de gallo, chimichurri, and desserts like a churro filled with dulce de leche, or a tropical mango ice-cream.
