2024, was the 16th Anniversary of the Mississauga Latin Festival! A festival that has had a significant impact on the Canadian community by promoting and celebrating our rich Latin culture. It was impressive to see how attendance at the festival has increased over the years, this year surpassing over 50,000 people for the entire weekend. This is a testament to the community's continued interest and appreciation for Latin culture.
The choice of Edgar Joel as the international guest artist was exciting. Edgar Joel is an American salsa musician, trombonist, and bandleader. He was born in Philadelphia to a Puerto Rican family originating from Barranquitas, Puerto Rico.
This year we had over 70 vendors, including food vendors, artisans, and exhibitors, who offered a wide range of products and cultural experiences to enjoy.
The Art Gallery, highlighted the artistic talent of our Latin American artists who exhibited their beautiful works of art, giving us the opportunity to promote art and creativity.
It was a wonderful event where children, adults, and seniors enjoyed an entire weekend in a family atmosphere, the best of our Latin culture through music, art, dance, and delicious Latin American food.
